1. Ownership and Access

All accounts, profiles, digital cards, directory listings, business listings, content, and materials created or submitted through the It’s A Verdun Thing platform remain subject to the platform’s ownership and license rules. Members may use the features made available to them, but they do not own the platform, the underlying systems, or any administrative tools unless we state otherwise in writing. Access is granted based on membership status, account approval, age, parental consent where required, and compliance with our policies. We may provide different levels of access for family members, athletes, business profiles, and approved administrators.

2. Security and Updates

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to help protect member data, directory information, card data, athlete information, and family records. Security measures may include access controls, password protection, account verification, limited internal access, and secure hosting tools. We may also review unusual activity and temporarily restrict access to protect the platform and its members. We may update, modify, or maintain the site, digital card platform, directory tools, or related systems at any time, and scheduled maintenance may cause temporary interruptions, delays, or limited functionality.

3. Member Responsibility

Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials, profile access, and any codes or links tied to their card or account. Members should keep their information current, use strong passwords, avoid sharing access with unauthorized users, and notify us promptly if they believe their account or card has been compromised, lost, stolen, or misused.

4. Removal and Termination

We may remove, suspend, or terminate access to accounts, digital cards, directory listings, business access, athlete profiles, or monetization features when necessary to protect the platform, its members, and its policies. Removal or termination may occur if a member violates platform policies, misuses the directory, digital card, or monetization tools, shares unauthorized or harmful content, provides false or misleading information, or engages in conduct that creates risk or harm to the community. When access ends, the member must stop using the platform and any features tied to the account, and we may disable the card, remove directory visibility, or restrict access to business and athlete tools as needed.

We may retain certain records for legal, security, accounting, or platform-management purposes even after access ends. Where appropriate, we may also keep archived copies of content needed for recordkeeping or compliance. If the account involves a minor, a parent or guardian may request removal or restriction of the child’s account, card, directory listing, or related information, subject to our privacy and verification rules.

5. Relationship to Other Policies

These policies work together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Code of Conduct, FERPA/COPPA Policy, Licensing and Copyright Policy, Digital Card Policy, Directory Policy, Fundraising / Monetization Policy, NIL Policy, Athlete Use Policy, and Media Release / Likeness Policy. If one policy is more specific than another, the more specific policy will apply to the feature or situation in question. If there is a direct conflict, we will interpret the policies in a way that best protects the platform, its members, and the family ecosystem. We may revise, replace, or update any policy from time to time, and continued use of the site means you accept the most current version of each policy.
