1. Purpose

This policy explains how It’s A Verdun Thing may use photos, videos, audio, profile images, testimonials, event footage, and similar materials that feature members, athletes, families, or minors.

2. Consent to Use Likeness

By submitting content or participating in platform features, a member may grant permission for their name, image, likeness, voice, or profile information to be used in connection with the website, directory, digital card platform, promotions, social media, and related ecosystem content.

3. Minor Consent

If the person featured is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent before the content is used, unless otherwise allowed by law. We may require a signed release before we publish or distribute a minor’s image or likeness.

4. Scope of Use

Approved content may be used for:

• Website pages.

• Directory listings.

• Digital card profiles.

• Social media.

• Promotional graphics.

• Event recaps.

• Marketing and community updates.

5. No Guaranteed Payment

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, no compensation is owed for approved media use. Approval to use a person’s likeness does not create a paid endorsement, sponsorship, or employment relationship.

6. Revocation and Removal

We may remove content at our discretion, but removal requests may not always require us to delete archived, printed, or already-distributed materials. Parents or guardians may request review of a minor’s content, and we will consider such requests in good faith.

7. Content Standards

We may decline to use or remove any content that is unsafe, misleading, disrespectful, unlawful, or inconsistent with our community values.
